The CouchGuard Fabric Care Kit combines the products and tools needed to clean, rinse and protect compatible fabric sofas, lounges, recliners, upholstery, carpets and rugs. It is an Australian-made care system for treating everyday spills and stains, reducing cleaning residue and applying a water-repellent fabric protector.

What Each Product Does

• Fabric Spot Cleaner: Uses encapsulation cleaning technology to help lift food, drink, oil, pet and cosmetic stains from compatible fabrics.
• Fabric Rinse Aid: Used after cleaning to help reduce water marks and cleaning residue, soften fibres and support faster drying. The rinse aid is wool approved.
• Fabric Protector: A water-based treatment that helps repel water, grime and oil from compatible water-safe fibres.

Suggested Care Sequence

1. Test each product on a hidden area and allow it to dry.
2. Treat stains with Fabric Spot Cleaner according to its directions.
3. Use Fabric Rinse Aid as directed after cleaning.
4. Allow the fabric to dry fully.
5. Apply Fabric Protector according to its label directions.

What products are included in the kit?

The kit contains 250mL each of Fabric Spot Cleaner, Fabric Rinse Aid and Fabric Protector, plus two microfibre towels and one agitating brush.

What is the difference between this kit and Fabric Protection Spray alone?

This kit includes products for cleaning and rinsing existing marks before applying protection. Fabric Protection Spray alone is for applying the water-repellent treatment without the cleaner, rinse aid and included tools.

Can I use it on a fabric recliner?

It can be used on compatible water-safe recliner fabric. Check the manufacturer’s care instructions and complete a hidden-area test first.

Can it treat pet stains?

The Fabric Spot Cleaner is intended for common pet-related marks, while the Rinse Aid is used after cleaning. Results depend on the stain, fabric and how long the mark has been present.

Can I use the kit on wool?

The Fabric Rinse Aid is wool approved. Confirm that the complete cleaning method is suitable for the specific upholstery, then test in a hidden area before use.

What level of liquid protection does the protector provide?

It is a water-repellent treatment that helps liquids bead on compatible fabrics. Results vary with the fibre, weave, absorbency, application and wear.

Are the products Australian made?

Yes. The CouchGuard fabric care products in this kit are Australian made.

How long does your protection last?

CouchGuard® Fabric Protector will last approximately 18-24 months depending on how often you have the fabric professionally cleaned and the solutions they use.

Is there an odour with your protection?

No. Its none toxic. Our Fabric Protection Spray is water based not solvent based.

Does your protection contain any animal products?

A. No. Definitely not. There is no testing on animals and our products contains no animal product. Its vegan!

Can I use this on rugs & carpet?

Most Definitely! Freshly cleaned or new carpets. Our Fabric Protection can be used on any material / fabric that’s not effected by water. 

Can I put this on my couch after its been steam cleaned?

Definitely. Just let the couch almost dry after the steam clean then apply as per the directions.

What is the mixing ratio?

Our Fabric Protection comes R.T.U. (ready to use). There is no mixing required.

What’s the difference between Scotchgard & Couchguard?

CouchGuard Fabric Protection is waterbased, non toxic and contains no harmful chemicals were as Scotchguard is a solvent so its flammable and contains chemicals now deemed to be unsafe. Scotchguard™ or Scotchgard™ is also a registed trademark and just a well known brand.
