Description
Kaidi KDPT007-54 recliner actuator
Replace a matching recliner actuator with the genuine Kaidi KDPT007-54. The current listing specifies a 198 mm stroke and 25 mm/s speed and says the unit includes its cabling and plugs. Match the full model and all mechanical and electrical details of your original actuator before ordering.
Listed specifications
- Manufacturer and model: Kaidi KDPT007-54.
- Stroke: 198 mm.
- Max Load 1500N
- Speed: 25 mm/s, as stated on the existing listing.
- Includes cabling and plugs, 2 pin I0 and round 5 pin connections as shown.
Check compatibility before ordering
Compare the original manufacturer's model number, stroke, fully retracted and extended installation lengths, mounting points, cable routing, connector shape, pin arrangement, voltage and any additional leads or sensors. These details are not all specified on this listing, so do not assume the actuator fits based on chair brand or a similar-looking plug. Send CouchGuard clear photos of your old motor label, full actuator, mounts and plug ends if you need help checking the match.
Replacement guidance
For an exact matching replacement, the supplied cabling and plugs may allow a plug-and-play connection. That does not mean different Kaidi models or similar connectors are interchangeable. Disconnect the chair from mains power, support moving parts and follow the chair manufacturer's instructions before removing the old actuator. Do not force a plug or operate a mechanism with damaged wiring or an obstruction; ask a qualified repairer if you are uncertain.
How to replace a matching actuator
- Confirm the part first. Compare the original KDPT007-54 label, stroke, installation length, mounting points and both connector ends with this replacement. Do not proceed if the labels, wiring or mounting geometry differ.
- Isolate and support the chair. Unplug the chair from mains power and disconnect any battery pack. Keep hands clear of moving links and securely support the recliner mechanism so it cannot drop or shift when the actuator is released. If you cannot support it safely, use a qualified repairer.
- Record the original installation. Photograph the actuator orientation, mounting hardware, cable route and every plug before disconnecting anything. Follow the chair manufacturer's instructions for access and removal.
- Remove the old unit carefully. Disconnect plugs by their housings, not the wires. With the mechanism supported, release the original mounting hardware as specified for your chair and remove the old actuator. Keep track of the hardware and its original positions.
- Fit the matching replacement. Position the KDPT007-54 in the same orientation, use the correct original mounting hardware if suitable, and secure it according to the chair manufacturer's instructions. Do not force mounting holes into alignment or substitute unverified hardware.
- Reconnect and route cables. Match each connection to the original photographs and plug arrangement. Ensure connectors seat without force, and keep cables clear of hinges, moving parts and pinch points.
- Test cautiously. Clear tools and hands from the mechanism, restore power, and test a short movement while watching for binding, unusual noise or cable contact. Stop immediately if movement is uneven or any connection heats, sparks or behaves unexpectedly. Recheck the installation or seek qualified help.
This is general guidance, not a chair-specific service manual. The mounting hardware, exact pinout and electrical ratings for your installation have not been verified here. Never work on the mechanism while it is powered or unsupported.
