Check compatibility before ordering

Match the TH6-1053-001 part number, round five-pin plug, button layout and chair details with your existing handset. Connector shape or La-Z-Boy branding alone does not confirm compatibility. If you are unsure, send CouchGuard clear photos of the handset label, plug and chair model or purchase paperwork before ordering.

Installation

Disconnect the lift chair from power, unplug the old handset from its control connection and connect the replacement. Reconnect power and test the up and down functions before use.

Frequently asked questions

What controls does the TH6-1053-001 handset provide?

It provides two-button up and down control for a compatible La-Z-Boy electric lift chair.

What plug does this handset use?

It uses a round five-pin plug. Do not confuse it with La-Z-Boy handsets that use a round eight-pin connection.

What is the relationship between TH6-1053-001 and TH6-2284-001?

TH6-2284-001 is listed as a compatible replacement reference for TH6-1053-001. Compare the label, plug and control layout with the existing handset before ordering.

Will it work with every La-Z-Boy chair?

No. La-Z-Boy chairs use different handsets and connections. Confirm the exact part number, plug and chair details rather than relying on the brand name alone.

What should I send CouchGuard for a compatibility check?
