Moto Motion CM310 four-motor lift chair control box. Label: 29V DC 3.0A input, Class 2/IP20; headrest, lumbar, back and base outputs. Match the original box, supply and wiring.

Description

Moto Motion CM310 four-motor lift chair control box

The Moto Motion CM310 operates a compatible four-motor lift-chair system. The supplied photo shows the CM310 model label, a 29V DC / 3.0A input, Class 2 and IP20 markings, and four output positions labelled Headrest, Lumbar, Back and Base. Use those labels to compare your original box; they identify connection positions, not a universal wiring standard.

Model and connection details

  • Control-box reference: CM310, shown on the Moto Motion label.
  • Input marked on the photographed box: 29V DC, 3.0A. Match the original supply and polarity; do not assume any two-pin supply will work.
  • Motor-position labels: Headrest, Lumbar, Back and Base. Check all four against your original chair and cable positions.
  • Additional markings: Class 2 and IP20. Do not expose the box to moisture or use it outside the chair maker's specified environment.

Compatibility before ordering

This CM310 control box operates a matching four-motor lift-chair system and is compatible with the HSW310-B-PT handset and its successor HSW310-BB-PT, as confirmed by CouchGuard. It is not a universal Theorem control box: compare the complete original CM310 reference, 29V DC / 3.0A power input, all motor and handset connections, chair wiring and layout before ordering. If your original references differ, send clear photos of the control-box label, handset and plugs for a fit check.

Replacing a matching control box

  1. Switch off and unplug the lift chair from the wall. Ensure the chair is stable before reaching its electrical components.
  2. Photograph the original CM310 label, the four labelled motor positions and each cable connection before disconnecting anything.
  3. Follow the chair maker's service instructions to remove the old box. Do not pull cables by their wires or force plugs.
  4. Fit only a confirmed matching control box, reconnect each lead to its corresponding labelled position as documented, and route cables clear of moving parts and pinch points.
  5. Restore power and test the headrest, lumbar, back and base movements from a safe position. Stop and seek a qualified repairer if any function acts differently or a connection is uncertain.

Frequently asked questions

How many motors does the CM310 operate? It is listed for a four-motor lift chair, with outputs labelled Headrest, Lumbar, Back and Base on the supplied photo.

What input is marked on the label? 29V DC, 3.0A. Match the original power system and connection before ordering.

Which handsets are compatible? CouchGuard confirms HSW310-B-PT and its successor HSW310-BB-PT for a matching CM310 system. Still check the original box, handset connection and chair wiring.

Can I install it in any Theorem chair? No universal fit is confirmed. Check the original CM310 reference and the chair's full four-motor wiring layout.

How To Install Electrical Components

Removing & Fitting General Electrical Components

  1. Place a drop sheet or old towels around the recliner.
  2. Turn off and remove the power supply plug from the mains.
  3. Gently turn the recliner over onto its side or on its back. Remember correct lifting methods.
  4. Locate the component and its lead. Follow the lead along to the plug end remembering where it runs.
  5. Using a pair of side cutters, snip the cable ties that are retaining the lead to the frame.
  6. Unplug the socket and remove the old component. Place the new component lead along the same path as the old and cable tie the new lead to the frame.
  7. Check all other leads are out of the way of moving parts.
  8. Turn the recliner back over to normal seating position
  9. Plug the main power supply back into the wall.
  10. Test the new component. Operate the lift chair recliner to its fullest position and check that all the leads are clear and not stretched.
  11. Return the lift chair to its normal seating position.

Tip: Check that all the leads are cable tied away from moving parts before turning the power supply back on. Leads can sometimes get jammed between moving parts causing a dead short after the chair is moved.

DO NOT exceed more then 2 mins operating time at anyone time. If you do exceed this time, wait 20 mins before using again.
