Description
Description
Genuine Mulin ML18-118 replacement actuator
The Mulin ML18-118 is an electric linear actuator with 250 mm stroke, offered for matching recliner backrest or lift-chair installations. Replace by the complete model and installation requirements, not the chair brand or the ML18 family alone. It is not a universal-fit motor.
Electrical specifications
- Exact manufacturer model: ML18-118.
- Label input: DC 28V 1.5A.
- Intermittent duty: 0.5 minute ON followed by 4 minutes OFF.
- Indoor use only.
- Connect only to a suitable Class II adapter DC output, as specified on the label.
Performance and travel
- Stroke: 250 mm, confirmed by CouchGuard.
The photographed label does not specify linear speed or maximum load. Do not substitute figures from another ML18 actuator. Check the original actuator and installation requirements before ordering. An actuator force rating, where specified, is not a chair occupant-weight capacity.
Dimensions and build
The product photo shows a sliding mounting block. Compare its fixing pattern, mounting points and available clearance. Check retracted and extended mounting lengths, measured centre to centre of pin where applicable, separately from overall length and the 250 mm stroke. No mounting dimensions are supplied on the photographed label.
Connection
The existing listing identifies one male two-pin I0 power connection. Compare the connector face, pin arrangement, polarity and cable routing with your original. A similar plug or matching voltage alone does not establish compatibility.
Compatibility and safe installation
Match ML18-118, 250 mm stroke, electrical input, connector and polarity, mounting block and dimensions, and required travel before replacement. Plug-and-play replacement applies only when the mechanical and electrical installation matches. No interchangeability with other Mulin models is established here.
If unsure, send CouchGuard clear photos of the original label, full actuator, connector face and mounting points, together with measurements, for help identifying the correct replacement.
A non-moving chair may also have a switch, cable, power-supply or mechanism fault. Establish the fault before replacing the motor. Disconnect mains and any battery supply before installation, keep clear of moving mechanisms and use a qualified repairer if the chair cannot be safely supported. Do not force plugs, modify wiring or connect directly to mains power.
Frequently asked questions
What is the ML18-118 used for?
It is offered for matching electric recliner backrest or lift-chair installations. Confirm the original actuator and complete installation before ordering.
What electrical input does it require?
The label specifies DC 28V 1.5A and connection only to a suitable Class II adapter DC output.
What is its duty cycle?
Observe 0.5 minute ON followed by 4 minutes OFF. It is not rated for continuous operation.
What is its stroke?
CouchGuard confirms 250 mm stroke. This is actuator travel, not overall length or the mounting length.
What are its speed and maximum load?
Those figures are not shown on the photographed label. Check the original specifications rather than using figures from a different ML18 model.
Which connector is listed?
One male two-pin I0 power connection. Match the actual connector face, polarity and wiring.
Will any ML18 actuator fit?
No. Match the complete ML18-118 reference, 250 mm stroke, mechanical dimensions and electrical installation.
Does a non-moving chair prove the motor is faulty?
No. Switch, cable, power-supply and mechanism faults can also stop movement.
What should I send for help identifying a replacement?
Clear photos of the label, complete actuator, mounting points and connector face, plus the original mounting measurements and required travel.
Can it be used outdoors?
No. The label specifies indoor use only.
