Compatibility checks

Compare the original compliance-plate part number and full configuration, mounting arrangement, bed mechanism and control connections before ordering. A Quad 8 name or matching pin count alone does not establish interchangeability.

Send CouchGuard clear photos of the original label, complete drive, mounts and connector faces for help identifying a replacement. The product image is illustrative and may differ from the actual actuator.

Handset and control compatibility

Confirm that the existing handset and control accessories suit the exact supplied drive. Wireless and Bluetooth capability depends on the particular configuration and matching accessories; these are not claimed as included features of this 71186 listing.

Replacement guidance

Disconnect mains and any backup supply before work. Safely support the bed mechanism before releasing the drive from its mounts. Do not force connectors or modify wiring. Keep leads clear of moving parts and follow the instructions for the exact drive and bed, including emergency lowering. Use an experienced repairer if safe support or compatibility is uncertain.
